Should I make my own STDs?

I have to have STDs because mine is a mini-destination wedding and people need to reserve hotel rooms, and I still haven't gotten them yet.

I have a really elaborate web site with all the info, plus we're sending out a 'Wedding Newsletter,' so my STDs are going to be really simple and I had planned on making them myself. But is that shooting myself in the foot? Between the cardstock I'd need to buy, the printer ink, not to mention the time I'd spend perfecting them... would it be cheaper and easier to go to an invitations place and just have them made up? What do you think? I'd need about 60.

Save yourself the headache. Go to Hallmark, they do a nice job.

I was actually just at Hallmark looking for stationery and ideas, but there was nothing - where did you go and what did you have done there?

i would just buy them...it's not costly and will save you lots of time!

i did mine on agiftfulheart.com it was very simple

oh btw - you have quite a fan club on here. people love you! there was a whole davaday thread not to far back. i'm relatively new and was like who the heck is this chick lol everyone was wondering where you had been lol nice to meet you!

Okay, so the next step: I'd rather see them in person and not do them online. Anyone know any good invitations vendors?

I went the hallmark in east islip - I had my eparty invites done there, and actually my college graduation as well.

I thought about doing that, too.

Instead, I ordered them from here:

They are gorgeous. Everyone loved them. The magnets came in the mail in about 3 days. I ordered 70 for $130 and they were well worth it. I just had to pop them in the envelopes, address them and mail them.

I second magnetstreet. they send you a proof asap and work with you to make it perfect and they come really quickly. Ordered mine and had them within 8-10 days.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we don't want magnets; we want stationery. East Islip isn't too far from me - maybe I'll drive over there and see what they have.

Thanks again! You've convinced me to just pay someone to get them done. Now, my wedding is only 7 months away... it's about time to get started.
