Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
I think it's fine the way it is? My Ceremony is at 3 and cocktail hr is at 7 and they are about 30 minutes away from each other.

Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
Oh. Our ceremony is at 130. We have 3 photographers so we can take a lot of pics in very little time. I am getting ready at my house, with my bms and family, we will take all of our family pics at my home, and most of my bm pics here as well. Same for fh. The ceremony should be over by 210, we are taking pics at the church for 30 mins, then taking the 30 min drive to the reception. We are expecting to arrive at Atlantica around 315. We are taking pictures there from 315-430. Our CH hour starts at 4, so we will catch the last 20 mins of it. If everything goes as planned with 3 photographers, we can take our romantic pictures, while the bridal party pictures are taken, and save time. HTH!

That seems like plenty of time to me. My ceremony is at 3PM, with CH to start at 7PM, and the two locations are an hour apart.

Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
I think you'll be ok. How long will the ceremony/receiving line be?
We have ceremony at 3, CH at 6 and places are 20 minutes apart. I am comfortable with that.

Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
OMG...you are freaking me out! My ceremony is at 3 and my coctail hour is at 5. We aren't having a mass, so I thought the church would only be about 1/2 hour. We are going to take BM pics before the ceremony and the rest of the pics after the ceremony. Am I the only one with just a 2 hour gap?

My ceremony is is at 3:30 and CH starts at 6, my photographer said that is plenty of time to get a ton of pics done.. I think you should keep it the way it is.

Kath - are you having a full mass? If not, I def think it's plenty of time. I would try and get parent pics and some pics with girls out of the way before the church. You'll be fine!

Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
My ceremony was at 3:30 - my CH started at 7:00. Our ceremony ended up being a little longer than expected and our receiving line was ALOT longer than we expected. We ended up not leaving the church until almost 4:45 - we ended up going to take pictures and ended up at our hall at about 6:40 - and had our family pictures done then.
It was enough time for us - but we would have had more if we weren't at the church as long as we thought we would be.
Are you going anywhere in between for pictures?

Re: Should I move my ceremony up???
I booked my church for the 5pm ceremony - I was given the choice between 3:30 and 5.
My cocktail hour starts at 8, and it's late November. The majority of our pics will be taken in the photo studio at the hall, and the hall is only 20 minutes from my house/church.
I think 3 hrs from church start to cocktail hour start is enough time.
