Should i get my maids gifts even if they are not planning on doing anything for my wedding? they are checking things out with me ONLY MY DRESS and thats about it....thats as far as it goes towards contributing to my wedding.
Yes, I mean some people seriously just don't know what to do for you- start asking them to be more involved if you feel they aren't.
YEs. My girls really didnt do much. Well my MOH did but that was fine by me. I acutually didnt ask them to. I think its just a nice way to say thanks for standinig up with me.
IMO yes. To me, just having them there with me to support me on my special day is enough.
I would, I mean, they are spending money on a dress they are never going to wear again, hair and makeup too (Unless you are paying for that), I would get them something small. Nothing extravagant or big, just something to say thank you.

Yes. My bridesmaids live all over the country, so no, they aren't running wedding errands w/ me, but they are paying for their dresses, throwing a shower and bachelorette, so of course I plan on pampering them.
something small... like maybe DOJ. Like somebody said before, sometimes your BMs just don't know what to do (esp if they've never been a Bride before). You've gotta ask, if you need their help. But either way, I'd still give them something. It doesn't have to a big extravagant gift.
I didn't ask my BMs to do a thing other than to get measured for their dresses together. I gave them each a gift because it was an honor to have them in my wedding.
I didnt ask my bm's to do much, and only one really offered. I still bought them all nice gifts, because a) they are giving up there time to be there for me the wedding day and b) i just want to....even if its a very small token, i would say yes, you should give them something.
Get them their DOJ. It is something small but will show them how much you appreciate them standing with you on your special day.
