I got a great quote from an agent but i have to pay in full. I actually can't right now.. but I'm wondering has anyone else done this. Whenever I've booked through a travel agent, I did it initial deposit and balance about 2 months before departure. I thought that's how it works... I'm just leary about it.. anybody else paid in full when they booked?... advice?

I only did a deposit and I pay the rest 2 months before we go.

I expected to pay in full when booking. most travel agents ask for a deposit up front and a check about 2 months before your actual HM.
you should read the cancellation policy carefully. you never know.

I never heard of a TA asking for payment in full. the only thing I've ever been asked to pay in full for are the plane tix

I think that's strange they asked to be paid in full. I agree with the other poster....be sure to read their entier policy

Paying in full does not sound right to me, we booked our Hm on Monday and all we paid was a Deposit and the rest due July 3rd. I would check other options.

We put a small deposit down when we booked - about $400 - and then paid the balance 6 weeks before the trip.

I placed my deposit and the balance is due 6 weeks (?) before the trip. I paid for the insurance option and that locked in the price.

We placed a deposit on the hotel and no i wouldnt pay in full.

Yeah, I never heard of anyone having to pay in full right then and there when they book it. Most places have you pay the balance like 2 or 3 months before???

No, we only put down $300 deposit and the rest is due a few weeks b4 the honeymoon. Also, they give you time for insurance.
