Hey Ladies - After my wedding a few months ago, now my sister is getting married - this Friday!! She has asked me to say a speech and I have total writers block. Plus, I am so nervous to speak in front of everyone....She didn't say a speech at my wedding because she was nervous also. Not that that matters - I would totally do it even if she didn't, but I mention it only because she would totally understand the point that I would be nervous. So, trying to decide what to do. What do you think??

Did you tell her how nervous you are about it?

Just do it. I'm sure it would mean a lot to her.

My sis did a little speech at my wedding and I was SO touched. It was a very special moment and I think your sister would remember it forever. I say, go for it!

I think it depends how nervous you think you'll get. If you'll get sooo nervous you'll feel sick over it and get a headache or something that you'll be dreading it all day, I don't think it would be so bad to skip it (she'd understand). If it's just butterflies though, then just do it.. write something short and sweet and from the heart, and have your thoughts on notes so you don't forget anything. I'm sure it will go fine and she'll love it.

Yes she will loove it, speak of how you envied her in ways, treasured times growing uptogether, share how she felt when she met her FH, etc.

I would do it esp if she asked, have a drink or too that should ease your nerves

Thanks girls! I appreciate it. Maybe I will just suck it up and do it. Even if I have to read it (although I would really hate to do that), I know it will mean a lot to her. I will be really nervous, and will be dreading it until it's over, but I think with a few drinks, I hope I will feel better. It won't be easy, but wish me luck!!!
