I'm having both my ceremony & reception at Chateau Briand. Most of the wedding party including myself are staying at the hotel right next door the night before out of convenience. So I wasn't planning on getting limos, but now I feel like I’m missing out on that part of the experience... I was thinking maybe I should at least get a nice limo for me & my FH to leave in, but a lot of people told me that since the day goes by so quickly a lot of times there isn’t a formal exit. So I don’t want to waste money on a limo that’s just there for show. Are any other brides that are doing the ceremony & reception at the same location who are having this issue?

FH and I will get a town car or small limo to take us to the hotel after the reception is over. It is only a 10 minute ride. Our guests will have a shuttle bus to take them to the hotel.
Have a 'parade' to the hotel after the reception. That could be fun.

I'm having the same issue (but not staying at hotel next door).
We would all have to get ready in the bridal suite. We think a limo would be a waste of money b/c we are getting there 2 and 1/2 hours before the reception to take pictures so it's not like anyone would even see us arrive, but it feels weird that everyone will just be showing up in their own cars.

I think that's the main thing that bothers me too... everyone just driving themselves but like u said we'll be there early so no one is going to see us any way.. Maybe i'll just get a limo for FM & me to leave in....

Unless you plan on going somewhere besides your RH to take pictures there is no real need to get a limo. If you are going to get a car just for FH and yourself to leave after the RH you can probably order a towncar which would be cheaper.

Our hotel is about 15 min away from our RH. We decided to get a limo only bc I am getting dressed at the hotel and I don't want my dress crammed in the back of somenone's civic!! I think if the hotel was walking distance, we probably wouldn't have gotten the limo tho...HTH!!
