the question of the day is, will kayla reach 125 minimum even though she invited 211 people?
so far we're at 70 yes, 28 no..
i like to think im a pretty nice person, but apparently nobody else does
tx shower: 21 people invited, 10 came = over 50% decline rate ny shower: 56 people invited, 21 coming = 63% decline rate

should i be insulted? should i re-think my image of being a nice, helpful sweet southern girl?

i think it is still early yet to tell, don't worry i think you will be fine. we invited 195 and ended up hitting 129 w/ a 125 min, at one point i was freaking out as well b/c we had like, 80 yes' and only a few weeks to go to RSVP's... most of them wait till last minute

Um I seem to think Im a nice person too .. and I had 12 people show up at my shower! Anndd two of the missing ones .. BM's! AND one of the BM .. NO SHOW..

for my shower not very family members showed up. it was mostly dh family.
when it came to the wedding they showed.
i guess people think that if they go to the wedding that 'should be enough'

i had a lot of people not come to my shower and also the wedding. There can be so many factors...time of year, if you have a lot of OOTers, etc. so def don't take it personally!!!

Do not take it personally!!! I am not even having a shower because our kids are our entire bridal party and no one else wants to be bothered! People just s*u*c*k!!!! I'm sure you will get plenty of yes responses soon!!

we were under are minimum and had no shows. so i dont have much advice. but dont let this doubt your nice-ness

aw kayla I am sorry you feel this way, its hard I know but don't take it personally. I was upset too with my shower turnout but then I realized, its their loss not yours. The most important people will be there and that is all that matters.

It's because youre from Texas so you have family all over the place.
Don't worry. I anticpate the same problem with our Michigan shindig. No one is coming from NY except FH's immediate family, our best man and the people who's kids I take care of.
The people who matter most will be there.
That's all that matters.
And if you can't fill seats... I'll come and get drunk and get AWESOME.
