Okay, we didn't 'officially' start yet, but we weren't very careful last month and it was my first month off of the pill.
Today marks the 2 weeks late point for AF. I'm definitely feeling 'off' but it could just be a build up of hormones from not having AF yet.
I don't want to get my hopes up, and I don't want to be a psycho about testing every time AF gets caught in traffic and arrives later than planned - the whole reason I went on the pill 10 years ago was because I was waaaay irregular.
Anyone else going through this or something similar??? Thoughts??

Going off the pill does some whacky whacky things to your body... I had a similar experience... when I went off the pill, I lasted 39 days before I got my period. Before the pill, I had a 28 day cycle, like clockwork! Like you, DH and I weren't exactly careful so the whole time I thought I might be pregnant and kept testing, but kept getting a BFN. I remember I felt really off as well... on the other hand, I have a friend who went off the pill and bam, got pregnant right away even before AF came. I've heard somewhere that you are most fertile the first month or two after you get off the pill, so it is very possible. I would take a test just to calm your nerves, so at least you know what's going on with your body...

i just went off the pill last month and should be getting aunt flo this week...but when i spoke to my doctor, he said Flo may not show up for about 2 months after. Your body is going through so many changes, so who knows what can happen. I know that if i dont get Flo this week i will probably panic, but i dont want to make myself crazy either. I think you should give it a little longer, maybe another week or so and then test!

I went off the pill about 3 months ago and haven't had flo yet. I just took a home test last week and it was negative. I was examined by the doctor and he said it was perfectly normal. I just had bloodwork done and the doctor is planning to put me on medication to induce flo. But, I don't think there is anything to worry about!

I bought the test, took it home and wouldn't you know, AF was waiting for me.
I think the relief just having bought the HPT and getting to the end of the mystery was enough to jump start her.
I was a little disappointed to see AF, but also a little happy because now I know I can enjoy NY Eve and start 'officially trying' in January!!
