i usually tip 15-20% of the cost tobe safe

I would think its not neccessary, being that it's only a trial. This is a 'test' to see if you like them or not.
However, I would definitely tip whoever you book on the big day.

Yeah - you should always tip - trial or not.
I usually say no less than $10 - it also depends on how much time she takes
