I wasn't planning on wearing a necklace but since my fitting, I am worried my neck looks too bare but I am torn b/c I don't want to take away from the detail on the dress. Here are pics of my dress and DOJ. My veil is also trimmed in crystals but I do not plan on wearing it for the entire day. Do you think I should get a necklace?

yeah....you may want to wear a necklace....this is what i'm wearing.
Are you wearing a headpiece? That may be the deciding factor....if it's a really bright one you might not want too much going on. The headpiece already draws the eye up.

Nothing that would be visible from the front. I am wearing a small hair pin in the back of my hair.

I am wearing the same dress. I haven't picked out a necklace yet but I think I definitly need one only because I am not wearing a tiara or headband. If you are, I don't think you will need one. I am looking for simple pendant or a diamond cross. Something that will not be too noticable and will take away from the dress detail.

I also wondered the same thing about my dress... I didn't know if I should wear a necklace. But I also had a headpiece that you couldn't see from the front as well as earrings and a bracelet. I wound up wearing a small solitaire just to put a little something around my neck and I'm sooo glad I did.

If that's the case, then I say yes, wear a necklace. If you had an ornate tiara or headband, I'd say no; it might be too much.

I think a necklace is necessary... I would go with a simple strand, nothing that drops too much.
