For my Eparty...my MOH says yes, but I was going to wear a pink or Red dress...I was thinking of popping over to Davids Bridal and seeing what they have off the rack...opinions?
NOT like a wedding dress or anything...probably more along the lines of a bridesmaid dress...

I wouldn't wear white but you can definitely wear something like a bridesmaid dress. It's your party and you will be the center of attention.

yeah the colors for my eparty are like chocolate and rose so I kinda wanted to get a brown and pink dress, but my MOH suggested I wear white...I dunno. Its february...

Some people asked me the same thing...I personally don't want to wear white because obviously were gonna wear white for the wedding so i just wanted it to be different.

Oooo i am doing the same colors ...honestly the pink and brown dress idea sounds like a great one...Nobody is gonna expect you to wear white and as you can see pics from other e-parties i havent seen anyone else do it...Its nice for the e-party to do things a bit different

I personally don't see anything wrong with wearing white... Once you get engaged you can't wear white until your wedding?
I think it's a cute idea, as long as it doesn't have a train and you don't wear a veil.

\ hahahaha no you can wear white, i wear white all the time...For me personally i want to have a different look, kind of how you want the e-party to also be different than your wedding...Thats why i personally picked a different color, i was even going to wear a cocktail type dress up to my knees but i ended up falling in love with a long dress that also has a train lol.
Its just fun for the bride to do a completely different look, but its not like youre NOT supposed to wear white, its just more of a preference.
I am even thinking of dying my hair red, but not sure yet hmmmm lol.

Well im wearing Ivory for my e-party!!!! I really wanted like cranberry at first but i couldn't walk away from the dress I found. As long as its not pure white and does not look like your wedding dress who cares......this is the only time I will be able to wear such light colors...it's your own party!!!...JMO....Let us know how you made out!!

Very true, its your e-party do what you want...The only reason i told her she didnt have to is because she said she doesnt want to and she wants to wear pink and brown, letting her know shes not obligated to wear white...I also did try on a white dress that i thought was absolutely beautiful, but i ended up liking the other one more...But if i didnt find the one i have now i wouldve def gone with the white one...There is no rule to what you can wear to your e-party, whatever makes you happy

NOOOOOOOO...its won't look anything like my wedding dress...my dress is going to be a ball gown- I'm thinking Amalia Carrara. The design isn't up yet but it was in the latest edition of Brides Magazine so yeah...if I get a SIMPLE whitish dress it wouldn't be that bad right?
I dunno...I'm going shopping this weekend...I'll bring my camera

no it wouldn't be bad, some brides do it because they want it to be different from the wedding, but if you don't care then go right ahead, as long as you're happy with the dress, then that is all that matters.

hey jess, i wore black because my eparty was formal. black [or brown] is always more formal. [but also depends on where you're having it] white is nice too. alot of brides do wear white for the e-party! brown would be beautiful if your theme is chocolate! davids bridal does have gorgeous brown dresses, i was just in there last week b/c we also have a few weddings this yr! wear whatever you think is best! there really is no right or wrong! and i never wear white! lol...i wore white on the wedding day and thats it...occasionally i do in the summer...im more of a dark clothing person!
