we are giving Mikasa votive holders as favors. they come in the box that is in the picture below. I am going to use the burgundy ribbon and matching gifts tags in the picture. I really like how it looks from the front because the silver Mikasa logo matches the silver lettering on the tag. But I don't like how it looks from the side because of the barcode. Should I just leave it as is and assume no one else will care or notice, or should I wrap each one with silver wrapping paper and then put the ribbon and tags on them?
btw, i'm not planning on leaving them on the tables during the reception. instead we are going to have them stacked on a table and give them out at the end of the night. don't know if this makes a difference or not, but no one's gonna really see them til they are leaving anyway. If I were going to leave them on the tables then i'd definitely wrap them
I say yeah, just because of the barcode!! I love it from the top, but the barcode leaves something to be desired!

argh!! i know what you mean! it looks great without any wrapping paper but the barcode does take away from a cute box! i think wrapping them will be a pain in the butt though, don't you? I guess if you have time...another suggestion would be to put something over the barcode, like a white label or sticker to cover it, but that would look kinda ghetto...maybe get your gift tag to cover the barcode??? i dunno sorry i'm out of ideas

Yeah, though it will be a lot of work, I think you should wrap them. Maybe just do tulle like another girl suggested! HTH!

I would definitely wrap them, or find a nicer, plain box to put them in,
Personally I think I would wap them just b/c i think they would look so cute wrapped up on the tables.

They are great favors!!! I would definetly wrap them because of the barcode. You might want to try a cute little gift bag that you could tie closed with the ribbon and gift tag.

Yknow..to be honest I dont think people will care whether its wrapped or not..JMO... It looks great unwrapped but since we are all brides to be the barcode is throwing us all off and we are telling you to wrap it... I would say wrap it...but honestly, if you didnt...I dont think it would matter...

I have almost the same exact favor as you. Mine is the Mikasa heart dish.. The Mikasa boxes are nice but I think it will look nicer to wrap. So I am throwing Jordan Almonds in mine and wrapping them in Ivory tulle.
But with you - since you are going to stack them on a table p - its a tough call - you can proably get away with leaving them in a box
