Are you ladies trying to match your invitations w/ your theme or colors? Yesterday, I was told that it didn't matter much whether it matched. Although, it would be nice.

They don't really need to match. We found an invite that we love and does happen to match our color scheme, but it's not necessary

Thanks Ladies. My colors are wine/red and gold...But there's no way I want wine color looking invites.

yeah, they don't really need to match if you don't want them to..chances are your guest wouldn't even notice...
unless your a type A like myself and everything needs to be matchy matchy.. Yeah, sometimes I find myself going overboard on alot of things LOL

def do not need to match. nobody is going to show up with their invitation and walk around with it.
an invitation does set the tone for the wedding and what guests can expect, i think, but def does not need to match..
go with what you like!

no... people rarely remember what the invitation looked like... i ended up finding something that matched my theme... if i didnt i would have found something matching my colors

no i dont think so but i love yellow so much that i'm going to try to match it. My colors are fuschia and yellow and i think to throw the fuschia in w/ my invitations would just be too much going on, but we shall see!

I was going to say the same thing. The invites are suppose to be your guests first look into the upcoming wedding so it should have some type of a reflection on the wedding itslef. Its doesnt need to match exactly but it should have some type of relivence to your day.

I believe they should!!! That is just me the, I also feel like it can give the guests a good insight of what is to come.
