Fh and I booked a 2 week HM to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, and Taha'a...
However, after reading KandE017's review about Taha'a (Private Island Resort) We are thinking it's not worth the $$..
Our travel agent is waiting for our decision!
Should we keep the 2 nights in Taha'a
OR
Add 1 night in Moorea and 1 night in Bora Bora?
Please Help!!!!!!!

I also went to Tahiti for my honeymoon last September and stayed at Taha'a as the last island, thinking it was going to be the best. It totally wasn't worth the money we paid. I would say cancel your 2 nights in Taha'a and add the nights in Moorea and Bora Bora. You'll have a much better time and some money leftover.

How about you visit a different island? When we were in Moorea, we met another couple that was visiting Huahini (sp). It is supposed to be like Bora Bora 10 years ago...
You can't go wrong with whatever you decide! FP is AMAZING!!

Hi...sorry my review confused you as to whether or not you should still go to Tahaa. With only 2 nights there I definitely don't think it's worth it. It's a lot to pack up and move around so much...if I were you I'd actually add those 2 nights on to Bora Bora...it was amazing there. Or you can split it up and do 1 in Moorea and 1 in Bora Bora but I myself would just tack those 2 days on to Bora Bora. I'd stay in Bora Bora a full 2 weeks if I could - it was amazing!
Tahaa was just ridiculously overpriced in our opinion.

listen, i read so many mixes reviews about Tahaa and i was going crazy! My fi had booked 3 nights in Tahaa and you know what, we are soooo going and i cant wait!
first, i found that the only people that were disappointed with Tahaa were the people that went to Thalasso and then Tahaa.
Otherwise, i heard great things about Tahaa and im trying to shut out everyone's opinion. I cant wait!

I know what you mean about confusion about Le Tahaa! We went around and around and finally opted not to go ONLY because of the expense. We are already going to Moorea and Bora Bora. We were adding on a couple more nights and the cost got out of control. The place looks beautiful to me! If I could have afforded two more nights, that's where I would have gone!

I read her review also, and i would definately Cancel that hotel, it doesnt seem worth the money
My FIL's went to tahiti last summer and if they go again they are only going to bora bora, because they said it was the best
I say ADD 2 More Nights in BORA BORA!

This is off-topic sorta, but I've always said I wanted to go to Tahiti for the HM. I was wondering (Feel free to send me FM if you dont want to tell the world ).....
How much would you say is the approximate price of such a trip?

We are also going to FP!
And after much discussion, we are also going to Taha'a. We are staying in one of the Beach Bungalows. I have to say I'm a little nervous about it...But the FH is super excited. So what can I say. It seems the experience will be a little more rustic and at a slower speed, which we will fully appreciate after the prior week of wedding madness!
I am happy that we are going there first and then to the Bora Bora Nui. I think we will be very happy with that order, as when we get to Bora Bora... we will be ready for a little more action!
So we are doing: - 1 Night Intercontinental on Tahiti - 4 nights on Taha'a - 5 Nights the Bora Bora Nui.
I will give a full report when we return!

Hi...sounds like a great trip and I agree...you definitely are doing the islands in the right order. I know a couple who stayed at the NUI and they raved about it...I think that hotel will definitely feel more luxurious than Le Taha'a so I think you are doing the right order. Tahaa is nice and it's fun....I just had too high expectations for it - that was my problem with it. I was expecting SO much more so was let down a little. But we totally were relaxed there and had fun...you will too! The pool bar there is nice to hang out at....the other hotels we stayed in FP didn't have any pool bars so we liked spending time in the pool AND on our deck! Enjoy!

That's awesome... two weeks in FP!
French Polynesia is truly amazing... and it's all worth it... no matter what you decide to do.
I honeymooned and had my First Anniversary trip both in French Polynesia. I've been to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora (2x), Tikehau, and Manihi. I would keep going back until I have a kid.. LOL!
There are many islands in FP, which all are beautiful! If not Tahaa, then you could explore other Society Islands like Vahine, Raiatea, Huahine. Or, the Tuamotu Atolls (without the mountain in the center) like Rangiroa, Ahe, Tikehau, Fakarava, Manihi, etc. Tuamotus are where some of the Tahitians and French residents would go for their vacation. They are really tranquil and great spots for snorkeling and diving!
