Should we buy

FH and I are trying to save money but I was wondering if we really needed to buy the toasting flutes and cake cutter?

No! I am not buying those items - Your RH should be able to provide them.

If you're trying to save money then these are corners you can cut. You really don't need your own, your RH will provide them.

We had those bought for us as e-party gifts but didn't use them for the wedding...hall can provide them!

I got my flutes as an engagement gift, and registered for my cake cutting set at BBB. If I didn't I was probably going to use the RH ones.

Register for them, if you get them as a gift you're still not spending $$ ! ! !

are you Registered at BBB?? They have lennox ones that are nice...add it to that and maybe you will get it for your shower! OR if you arent the type that wants to save it and showcase it....then either buy something cheap or use what the RH has!

we'll just use the ones at the hall. I would be afraid to bring my own and then not have them be gathered up at the end of the evening.

You can register for them, or go to ORIENTAL TRADING and buy them CHEAP. They personalize for free and they are nice, simple and affordable. That's what I did and I love them and I will definitely use them again.

yeah, it's crazy the amount of stuff we're 'supposed to buy' for a wedding....

I bought flutes, but they were really inexpensive... I got a set of 4 with our last initial engraved on them for under $30.... (we're obviously only using 2)

Not getting a cake knife. we already own a gorgeous one, and don't want to risk losing it by bringing it to the reception.

we're going to use theirs....

We registered for our toasting flutes and my brother had bought us a cake knife as an engagement present so we used that. Not anything I would go out and just buy, but they were nice to have.
