Should we do it?

Should we do it?

So I have been looking up Italian ceremony traditions for my side and I found one, but I am not sure about it. After the wedding ceremony, the couple shatters a glass or vase -- and does their best to pulverize it, since the number of pieces represents the amount of years they’ll stay happily married.

I'd do it but

is this done at the church? or at the hall.. If it is at the church will they allow you to do it?

It will be done at the hall, outside in the garden area where the ceremony is. One of the girls on BHB mentioned it could be dangerous, so now I am rethinking it.

it does seem dangerous, even for the person who has to clean it up

what if you wrap it in a cloth, similar to the Jewish tradition? that makes it a little safer!
