Should've had a shorter engagement!!

Looking back...I wish I had a shorter engagement!! I just want the day to come alreadyyyyyyy!! So many periods of 1000 things to plan, or nothing at all to do. Theres some days I'm thinking OMG its so soon....and then I look at my countdown and think OMG the next 294 days will take foreverrrrrrrrr

I really envy the girls who have been engaged 2+ years!! I don't think I'd be able to do it lol

I feel the same way sometimes! I think OMG 10 months! It is so close! But then I'll think of something that is planned for like June of 2010 and I'll be like OMG soooo far away, and it will make me realize how far away October is. I know it will go fast, but still...

We got engaged a day later than you guys!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way too at times but then I think of it and realize we will have the rest of our lives with these men as husband and wife!! An extra few months really won't take that long, TRUST ME!!! After the holidays, you are less than 9 months away!!!

With having a little over 2 years to plan, with getting to the last 2 months I just want it to be here, I'm done and tired of it all. I don't really have much left to do because I made sure to do it all so that I wouldn't stress out, but I'm so ready and over it. I just want it to be here.

i agree.... the only thing that su cks being engaged for 2 years is 1) the annoying comments lol and 2) i feel like you spend more the longer youre engaged

I get those feelings too..and I'm shooting to have everything done 2 months before..and sometimes I think ill never finish everything, while others I'm just like its forever and a half away

I was just thinking about how fast it seems to have gone from last Christmas to this one... and I'm thinking wow, in less than that amount of time I'll be married!

YES - All my major vendors are booked and I have have no idea what to do now until the wedding.

Although i love being engaged and 'husband' sounds so scary and adult. i need more time to get used to that -- and being someone's wife!

As soon as we got engaged we wanted a short engagement, because the thought of waiting an extra year and a half was too much for me. But time definitly flies!! So once you hit your 6 months to the wedding day, you will be wishing you had more time, or at least that is how I feel and we are 3 months away!!!

i definitely agree with you. sometimes it feels so far away and others im like omg its only 10 months away. i wish i had a shorter engagement but money didnt allow me lol

I totally agree - I wish mine was about 5 months shorter.

And I really can't stand when people say, 'Oh you must be so relaxed because you have so much time.' In my opinion, wedding planning is not relaxing no matter how much time you have.

Me too!!! I'm like 'OMG I have 10 months!' I actually got a lot done ahead of time b/c Jan - Apr is heinous for me for work, but now I just realized I have appts every weekend during that time to do dress, pre-cana, bmaids so there was no need for me to sprint to book things!!

i have felt the same way many times but now that i am under 5 mths away i am like freaking out bc i feel like time went so fast and now theres still so much to do!

I'm happy with my 21 month engagement. I think of it like this... these 21 months are the only time in my entire life that I will be engaged. Once it's over that's it. I don't want to rush it and i'm just enjoying it.

see, i wish i hadmore timein the engagement....im down to 5 months almost, and it makes me sad!!

being engaged has been so exciting, so different, a time period of our life we'll never have again!!

so to me, only having 5 more months of it is depressing....plus im sad to leave my parents so thats gettin in my head also...

but i thought 17 months was the PERFECT length of engagement, and it really is I think, but now that it's closing in im realizing how im going to miss being engaged so much!!

so enjoy alllllllll of the engagement that you have left!!! looking back its going to look like a fleeting moment of your lives!

I wish we had a shorter engagement too. even FH said so about a month ago. we just want this day to be here and enjoy it, the more we wait the more stressful I feel - sometimes its like this field of anxiety

but then I think of the reasons why we are getting married 15 months after we got engaged and I know that was the right thing to do. we def couldnt get married before yr end of '09 due to money and couldnt do it in the winter as we are really NOT cold weather ppl.

so I know that this a has a reason.
and as one of the other posters said after 6 months is starts to fly!
