SHOW it girl! I have a big one on my back - it doesn't show with my dress, but if it did - I'd let it show!!

Re: Show Tattoo ???
I have one on the back of my neck( ankle too but wont show)..think I am wearing hair down and it will cover it, but if I wear it up, then so be it...if anyone is offended...oh well...it's on me not them right?

Re: Show Tattoo ???
It isn't about someone being offended at all. But if you are in a formal gown then I think it will really detract from the beauty of your gown.People will notice a colorful image on your shoulder or back before seeing your gown and how beautiful you look. I would cover it.
My sister has a tattoo and she didn't cover it but I did my best to pick a BM gown that would cover it and it is in a few photos- and it is the first thing you see- your eye is drawn to it.

Re: Show Tattoo ???
I am covering my shoulder tattoo. I am afraid that 10 years down the line I will look at my wedding pictures and go - ugh because you could see my tattoo.

It totally detracts from the dress and the formality of the day IMO. I agree with Michele, your eyes are drawn to it and its distracting. Its your wedding so if its important to you than by all means, show it. I just think you might regret it later.

Re: Show Tattoo ???
When I first put my dress on for a fitting the first thing my mother said was 'huh, your tatoo is going to sho!', with a distasteful look on her face. Told her the reason I got the tatoo is for people to see, not to hide it. It is on the back of my right shoulder. My good friend and I got the same one, 4 dolphins forming yin & yang. To this day I love it.
I have to say I was insulted by my mom's reaction.
