this is gorgeous!! I know its not about the materialist beauty of the church but I still love the architecture and care put into some of these places of worship. If I didn't get married in a church I think I'd like to get married in a barn or the forest. I used to think I'd marry on some cliff somewhere, but then I went back to my catholic roots and it just felt right to me. So, now I don't want to get married anywhere but church. (although I still believe god is everywhere and church can be anywhere)

Thank you! i fell in love with it when i saw it but what makes it special to me is FIL's married there and so did FSIL. My family doesn't really have many traditions so I kinda consider this a tradition I'd like to present to my future family (should they choose to accept it)

I'll be getting married at my childhood church, Saints Catherine & George Greek-Orthodox Church in Astoria.

They just finished renovating the church inside & out...all i have are photos of the outside, and i hope to snap some inside photos soon.
