Just a spinoff question - did your FI's pick out the ring on his own, or did you help out in choosing?

I told FI what shape I liked (square or round, I told him, so it was easy for him to remember!) and he picked out the rest competely on his own.

This is mine ring too. I originally told him that I wanted a marquise diamond with bagets on the sides (SORRY FOR THE SPELLING). We went looking together awhile ago. Then I changed my mind, b/c I thought I knew too much info about the ring. I then told him surprise me and get me whatever you want....... and I LOVE IT!!! It is perfect, he always had great taste in jewelry so I had confidence in my man the whole time. So in the end he picked my ring out all by himself!!!!
I'll have to take a good pic of mine also, pics never do the rings justice. Oh well.
