Showcase Today!

Went to the showcase at East Wind today! It was really nice to see how the Estate looks set up for a mock wedding. Love that room! We saw LI Sound perform and loved them! Not the price so much, but we are probably going to book with them anyways. They did such a great job and made me want to dance at the showcase so I have no doubt the wedding would be any different! We got to try a bunch of the cocktail hour room and some dinner entrees. Everything was really good, but some things I was not crazy about so at least we know what to select for the menu. Overall it was a really nice day and we had a lot of fun sampling everything and seeing it all decorated! We even noticed they changed the standard menu (cocktail hour stations, dinner entrees, even the dessert offerings). Im really happy we booked when we did because they really cut out a lot of the menu! Overall I cannot wait for my day even more now!!

My mom grabbed the menus they had at front so we would have an extra copy. For the new year they changed what they offer. Like at Cocktail Hour I get 2 pastas and 2 meats at the carving station. Now, for new bookings they can have either 2 pastas OR a carving station with 1 meat. They also only get to pick 5 chafing dishes where I get to have 8 at the CH. For the dinner menu where there were 3 meats to choose, 3 chicken selections, etc there are only 2 each. Plus they only get 4 selections in total I believe, maybe 5 where we have 7. With the cake my menu included the viennese trays and everything, now thats not complimentary anymore. We only booked a month ago so its crazy how fast that changed! Im happy I booked when I did! Im also happy that I kept the menu I had at booking so that they dont try to tell me thats the menu I booked with.

I booked in August too, so this doesn't affect me right? lol

It shouldnt! Im going to email my BM and ask him if I need to keep my menu from booking or if its been noted on my contact that I have the old menu, not the new one.

I just heard back from my BM. He said that on our contract it states what the menu we booked with has. Either way, Im keeping mine just because Im paranoid He thinks that the menus they had out were the old ones from the country garden and doesnt understand why they were put out. Who knows! I just made reservations for the January 8th showcase, so we will see what that menu looks like then lol.
