For those of you that had your shower, how many people attended? Just wondering what the average size is.

it is so funny that you are posting about this. I just had this conversation with my mom this past weekend. She asked my FMIL for a guest list for her side, and she said 45!!! That would mean we would invite 100 people to the shower. How ridiculous is that? What is the solution??

My guest list had 65 people. I had about 43 in attendance. Some were last minute no-shows. Some just sent gifts. I know I wrote over 50 thank you notes.

UGH Exactly. I was hoping to keep it near 50 invites. I just feel so weird cause the FILs want me to invite all these relatives (distant relatives) that I have never even met.

he he...thats like 5 times as large as mine was hun! Just think of how many presents you would get though huh? it woudl take you 5 hours just to open them.

I had 2. one in OH where DH is from originally and the other in NY.
there were 25 people the OH shower and 15 at the NY shower.

Well if its anything like my baby shower there were 100 people i nvited FH comes from a very large family he is 1 of 15 children so you get the idea
