how soon before the wedding should you have your bridal shower? and when should you start your registry? were getting married 06/07/08.

I started my registry already and I am not sure when my mom and BP are planning it for but I think like 3-4 months before the wedding they are going to do it.

My family is crazy and they don't want to worry about Holidays and putting anyone out so they are having it before all the holidays in November...my wedding is at the end of March and we started registering last summer.

FH and I registered in January a year before our wedding date. however we continue to update. Typically a shower is 1-2 months prior to the wedding date. B/c our wedding is in January and the shower period would fall during the holidays I think my mom and BP have planned teh shower for october november.

usually 3 months before is good...You can always register ahead of time, do it whenever you want.

you can start a registry as soon as you guys know what you want . Sometimes people like to send a gift if they know they won't be able to attend any events, or if you are having an e-party a lot of the time people start a small registry in case people want to bring gifts, so i think it's fine to register like a year before your date. you are def. at a point where you can go ahead and register!!!! and i agree with all the ladies. anywhere from 1-3 months before the wedding is usually when the shower falls.. But if you are getting married early in the year and holidays may conflict it is ok do it a little earlier.

I'm getting married towards the end of July so my shower will probably be sometime in June. FH and I haven't registered yet, but we probably will sometime in January or February.
