shower

Hellow ladies, CAN'T SLEEP, im new posting, but i do a lot of search in this site and all of you are great. i have a question about the shower, i feel that im falling behind!! my wedding is in September 2003, still did not order wedding invites, and i need to know how dos this work, my mother and sister are planing shower, does the invitations for the shower have to match the wedding invites and wen should they be sent out,is sopposed to be a sorprise, but how do i know wen to send the wedding invites, so that my guest don't get the two invites at the same time, or doe it matter if they do? i don't know, please help!

The wedding invites and the shower invites do not normally match. Your mother and sister can pick them out and send them about a month before your shower.

You should order your wedding invites ASAP. There are stores like Party City that have invitation books (We got ours at Have you Heard in Bellmore and would highly recommend them). The invites should be sent out about 8 weeks before the wedding (10 if it's on Labor Day weekend).

It doesn't matter which invite they receive first or if they arrive at the same time. As long as everyone invited to the shower is invited to the wedding it's not a big deal at all.
