Shower

Hi Ladies,

I am new here and need your opinions.

My niece is planning my daughter's bridal shower. She email the BM to see if they wanted to chip in together to buy a gift for the shower. She received a quick responce. Three of the BM have no problem chipping in together. The sister of the groom said that she wants to buy something on her own. I find out today that the sister and the MIL are giving one gift.

My question is, can the BM's that originally wanted to chip in together do so without starting anything or creating hard feelings?

Re: Shower

So if I understand correctly everyone was offered the possibility of chipping in but some people chose to do their own thing? If so why would it not be fine for those who still do want... to chip in together ? Don't you love all this drama over what is supposed to be good stuff? Good luck . I say just let everyone do what they want. Xoxo

I don't see anything wrong with those that want to chip in together getting one gift and everyone else doing their own thing. The sister and mom probably have something special in mind for your daughter.

Re: Shower

We just had my duaghters shower on Oct 14. My younger daughter is the MOH. She wanted all the girls to chip in together for a gift. The SIL and one BM decided they was going to give a different gift on their own so the rest of the Bridal Party chipped in together without the two. The SIL gave a more expensive gift and the one BM gave a less expensive gift It all worked out - at first it was frustrating but when you come down to it, it was just fine.

You may want to post on one of the other boards so more brides/girls see your post.
