Bridal shower ususally Bride's parents and RD groom parents

for shower ive seen two scenarios and just depends on your bp or family. SOmetimes the bridal party chips in and throw the bridal shower. ALso you'll see now alot of mothers are paying for the bridal shower, mine did and ive seen many other girls on here with same scenario.

RD-traditionally etiquette says the parents of the groom pay for this. My IL's did pay for our RD. Ive seen some couples who paid for it themselves though

well etiquette says the bridal party pays for the shower and mother shouldnt bc looks like the mother is asking for gifts for her daughter but whatever lol, cant expect for a bp to always pay for an entire shower or any of it. But as far as both parents and bridal party chipping in, nobody is obligated to any certain duties, they can divide it up however they want.

well that is what the magazines say but exactly give me a break, a mother cant just do something for her daughter lol. My mom paid for mine and i dont care what etiquette says about that one.

I would say the same

It may be improper 'etiquette' to have the mother pay for the shower, but in my family and in my circle of friends, the mother usually pays. I know I have been in a few BPs and haven't had to pay for the shower, its always been the MOB. I know my mother will be throwing mine.

RD its traditionally the ILs. But I know a lot of couples who have paid for it themselves.
