Shower Favors

Shower Favors

FH kind of let it slip that his mom is in charge of my favors (which I suggested to my mom to let her do) and now he's asking me what type of favors I would like.

Anyone have any idea for good favors? I really don't like things I consider dust collectors (candles, bottle stoppers, picture frames, etc). I'm very practical I like things that are useful.

I'm thinking something edible or very useful. I am leaning toward purse holders since I am a pocketbook freak and never know what to do with it in a restaurant. Any ideas would be appreciated.

For my best friend's shower, her sister decorated wooden spoons with a pretty ribbon and lace and the jordan almonds. I use that spoon all the time now.

I received an ice cream scoop favor and I use it all the time.
If you can find affordable compact mirrors thats nice for ladies.
I like the pocketbook holder. Every woman has that issue w/ the purse on the floor issue.

Re: Shower Favors

you could give small shower gels from Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret. I had those as my shower favors, and I had a small tag on each saying 'from my shower to yours'

For my sister's shower I got manicure sets as favors. They came in a purse shaped holder. Everybody loved them. People are still telling me how useful they are and how much they appreciated getting them.

I once received a set of personalized notecards. Every person (and there was about 100 people there) got a set of 10 notecards with their first initial on it. The MOH was a graphic designer so she probably made them but I thought the notecards were useful and different!

I was thinking of doing refrigerator magnets. We all need them at some point.

i feel like purse holder are a good idea but only for people that work in offices... where else would you use them? I really like the wooden spoon and ice cream scooper ideas, those are really practical and you dont need a whole set out of!!

It's a little metal hook thing that latches onto the table and you hang your purse off it.

I'm not sure how many people you are having....

but my husband and I are huge travelers so for my shower gift my guests received a Vera Bradley luggage tag and my mom wrote a cute poem in it.

They are on sale for 5 dollars a piece

The purse holder is really for out at restaurants. You can hang it off the table instead of putting your expensive bags on the floor. I usually try to hang it off my knee or keep it in my lap but sometimes it's hard
