I am on the fence. Games like bingo during gift opening is nice to keep your attention focused on the guest of honor. But I am much of a fan of the guessing games. I went to a baby shower where you had to guess what kind of baby food was in unmarked jars - I don't have kids and have no ability to tell the difference between any of it.

I think Bingo is the only way to keep people's attention during the presents...

then I would vote for some low key games...

I like games if there are a lot of younger people etc. if it's mostly older people I say no.

Love em, what would the ladies there do to past the time, just watch the bride or the honoree open presents, I think it makes the time go by. W/o games it could get boring.

I am on the border

I have to be Honest dont really like the Bingo,
I like the game where doing the gifts you ask the bride questions about the groom (he already answered) thinks thats funny.

sometimes people are more involved in the Bingo then in the bride to be and her gifts.

it all depends on the games for me,

but there is no harm in any of them

we played at game at my sisters baby shower that was fun. I got an timer with a bell and I had my aunt set it for different times (1 min, 5 mins, etc.) and when it went off, whosever gift she was opening at the time, won a prize. It was a way for people to win prizes without really having to pay attention to the game.

LOVE bridal shower bingo! I don't like games that embarrass anyone, but I do like the bingo type games.

I didn't have any and was GLAD. They seem to be the norm now so I was happy to be a little different and not have any at mine

Honestly, I think showers without games tend to be kind of dull, at least the ones I have been to. And there are other games besides Bingo that are really enjoyable for everyone.

There's one game where you speak with the bride's FH in advance and ask him a whole bunch of questions about himself. Then, at the shower you can ask the bride the questions or have each guest ask the bride a question and for every one she gets wrong, she has to chew a piece of gum. I love this game, and its funny to see how well they know their FH's - I've played it twice at showers and both times it has been a hit!

I like the games. They are mostly fun and they keep the guests occupied. Let's face it, unless the shower is for you it can get a little bit boring.

We had 5 Shower games at my shower, the women loved them. My sister bought beautiful picture frames and candle holders as the prizes - - women were fighting over them. I guess it depends on the crowd also.

I like going to showers where there is games, otherwise it can get boring watching someone open their 12th wine glass.

I like the idea of games because at least you're occupied during the gift opening. There is so much time in between opening and showing that I think it makes it a little more fun. Plus if you have cool prizes than people will want to join in and play.
