how much is appropriate to spend on a shower gift - I'm in the wedding party, but I'm out of town - and can't attend the shower.

Re: shower gift question
I'm in the same situation. It is not one of my usual groups of girls that I grew up w/ (we usually do a group gift). I called the rest of her BP and they never got back to me. I guess I'm going to spend b/t $100 - $150 b/c I usually spend that. What do you think??

Re: shower gift question
If you are part of the wedding I would see if the BP is doing something as a whole first.
If not, probably at least $150. IMO Only because I usually spend a minimum of $100 on family or close friend. I think if you are in the BP you should spend more.

Re: shower gift question
How much on average do you give in total for a shower/wedding present if you are not in the bridal party?
