I can not find anything worth purchasing for FH cousins shower since all that is left is small item and i really dont want to buy a lot of little things. I was looking to get them one big gift. I was thinking a couples massage would be awesome to relax them since we all know wedding planiing is so stressful and maybe one small item off her registry. There is luggage left but it dosent look like anyone purchased even one piece and all i could get is one piece. So what do you think?

I think that if they put little items on the registry, then they really want those items. I would just pick up all the little items and I'm sure they'll be happy that all their registry items were bought.

My suggestion would be buy a few little things and put it with a gift card. The couples massage is ok if you know them well enough. I know personally I would love that but FH would not.

Honestly, I love buying all the little things and making a big basket worth of stuff. And then maybe throw in a gift card too.
But no, I wouldn't buy just one piece of luggage.

I would say you could buy more than one little item and put them together in a basket. I just had my bridal shower and the basket with a bunch of little stuff was one of the best gifts I received.

I agree, this sounds like a great idea. I also just had my shower and received all my 'little' crate and barrel items in one box...and it was GREAT! I loved it.

Im going to break with the consensus .. Id rather get the couple's massage or the luggage. We really need luggage for our honeymoon and no one has bought it yet, so we are going to have to go and get it for ourselves. The little things I added to the registry but they are not things I cant live without. And I think the massage is great bc its something nice to look forward to .. i wish more people would break tradtion and get little treats like that-- things thecouple may not splurge on for themselves. try looking into getting them a massage for their honeymoon, or a pre wedding package!

I second this...if we didn't get our luggage off our registry we probably would have ended up borrowing our parents.

Make a basket with all the little things. I rather get all those things that just one piece of luggage. The massage is cool but I just don't see it being a shower gift. JMHO.

I agree with most of the ladies here, I would get the small items and a gift card. If you get one pc of the luggage, then they are forced to kind of buy the rest themselves (if no one else buys more pieces) and that would be expensive for them. The gift card will let them decide what they need the most.

That's a great question. My shower was last week and the one thing that FH and I REALLY wanted was our luggage. I guess I said it enough times that my parents finally bought it for us.
However, my BMs chipped in for a couples massage for us on our honeymoon and we're super psyched for that, too!
I think whatever you get will be perfect.

I don't see what's wrong at all with buying just one piece of luggage! Fill it up with lingerie for the honeymoon!
As a matter of fact, mine and my bride-to-be friend and cousin all shared that our fear right now is that nobody will buy the luggage! In my book, I'm most excited for the luggage because it's always overlooked and I really don't want to pay for it myself!

Just to add more (I obviously feel very strongly here!): I have to strongly disagree with the little stuff off the registry - as someone who has lived on her own for many years, those are the things the bride can pick up here and there afterwards without too much financial concern. And honestly, those little things can be useful but can also easily be lived without! The luggage however would be a big deal for them to have to purchase on their own, and is a necessity item.

I'd have to say that the couples massage would be what I'd rather get! I had a full body massage at my bachelorette party and it was soooooo good. I'm sure DH would have loved to have had one himself.

Maybe you can put some other little things in it , like someone else suggested, lingerie?

I agree-get the one piece of luggage and maybe if you can put a couple of little things in it. But remember the wishing well if she's having one--you'll need some of the little things for that!
