Shower Gifts..

Someone special to me told me I am invited to their shower..

I know I will get something off their registry..

But WHAT IS SOMETHING SPECIAL I can get or make a baseket full of?

What would you want?

I am a s*u*c*k*er for anything that smells good.

I would love a basket of scented candles, lotions, creams, etc.

How about a honeymoon basket? Do you know where she is going on her honeymoon - you can make it theme specific. My friend was going to Italy - so we bought a small travel bag and filled it with all related travelling and Italian goodies. We but a travel book on Italy, converted some money, sun glasses, sunblock, etc. She liked it. You can get really creative one honeymoon items.

I got one of these and I made one for my brother and sister in law but it is a year in the making. I got a big basket of decorations for every holiday. Placemats, dish towels, door decorations, windo decorations, etc. It is cute and fun.

I got a basket of candles. Each set of candles is suppose to be used for a different occasion in your marriage. Like first holiday together, birth of child, first anniversary, 25th anniversary. There was a whole poem with it. I have also heard this done with bottles of wine.

There is this website www.allaboutshowers.com. It has cute ideas.

Another idea- Someone who got me my espresso machine also gave me a cute basket with it. She gave Itallian cookies, espresso, sambuca, etc.

Pick something from her registery and make a basket to go with the theme.

I was thinking about getting her something big on the registry and then making a FUN basket......

One of my favorite baskets was filled with board games....gestures, monopoly, pictionary, poker chips and cards, etc. They are great to have in the house for company and its usually something you don't think of buying for yourself : ).

I really like the Honeymoon basket idea- you can put an underwater camera in it if she is going to a beachy place, a honeymoon photo album, some candles.

Someone I know makes table cakes. It's a tablecloth, napkins, napkin rings.....all kinds of cute stuff to dress a table with. She wraps the napkins and table cloth in a circle to shape it like a cake, and then 'decorates' it with the napkin rings, mini salt and pepper shakers and other cute little things. She uses a table top fake topiary plant for the center of it to keep it all together. It's really a cute idea if you are feeling adventurous!
