Shower invite Q

Do you usually invite the grooms mothers friends to the shower or just the women close to the bride?

id say to probably invite the close friends of the mother, if it were my son getting married I would want to be able to invite them...

You can invite anyone you want. I think it is more a matter of preferance, cost and who is throwing the shower.

Yes, usually you do. It's a good idea to have whomever is planning your shower speak to your FMIL and see who she wants to invite.

i only invited women i am close to. for my fi side of the family, only women whom i've met on more than one occasion are invited. i did not invite his moms friends, but then again, we only invited one of her friends (she had a lot and i cant see inviting a bunch of people that dont know us). we are trying to make our special days more intimate though. ~lacey
