Are you inviting OOT guests to your shower? I have many aunts and cousins that I think should be invited to my shower, but I know they wont come since they live so far away. I just thought it would be nice to invite them- but now I'm second guessing myself. I dont know if its pointless to invite them since they will definately not come.
I invited all aunts and cousins from OOt and I know they are not coming, but I also know that if I didnt invite them, some people might get offended.

even though i dont know when mine is, i know that my grandmother and aunt and uncle were invited and they arent comming. im a little pe-od about that.

i gave my mom and moh the list of all the women with how they are related to me and their address and am letting them do what ever they're going to do with it

i think they should be invited... let them be the ones to decide if they can make it or not...
I was recently in my uncle's wedding... he lives in Fla... I wasn't invited to the shower... I was a bit insulted by that... it might have given me an excuse to make a mini vacation...

that is exactly what i am doing also! I just think its the polite thing to do.

Yes we did but the only ones that are like a couple hours commute. Like I have aunts that live in Conneticut we invited them verses my aunts that live in Florida. You know the ones on Conn. are just a short drive away verses a plane ride away

My mom verbally asked the close OOT relatives if they would like to get an invite to the shower - and that they were not obligated to come.....

My mom and sister did as a formality. Even thought they knew some wouldn't go, to keep the peace everyone got one. A lot of them actually came which was surprising!

THey were all invited - just incase. You never know. My MIL suprised me from Florida.
