shower invite question...

So im planning one of my BM's bridal shower ... how far in advance do you send out shower invites? Also, how long is the RSVP period?

my mom sent my invites out on sat. for my shower on april 6th... have no idea what the RSVP date was.. but at least it gives ou a time frame

I'd say send them out 4-5 weeks in advance, and depending on how far in advance you need to give a headcount to the restaurant or wherever you are having, I'd make the RSVP about a week before the shower.

we just sent out my friends invites.

shower date - 4/5
sent invites - 2/28
RSVP - 3/20

I sent out invites to my best friend's shower last tuesday for april!

usually 4-5 weeks in advance send them, and the rsvp date is usually 2-3 weeks before. if you are inviting alot of OOTers i'd say add another week or 2 just to be uber safe
