Well, my shower is this weekend and I am so nervous!! It's not a suprise, it would be too hard to do it since I live in Boston. We're having 90 people and I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed. Any suggestions? Any advice? I'm so anxious!!!

Don't feel overwhelmed!! Enjoy this! It may seem intimidating but once you get there surrounded by all your friends and family you'll forget the meaning of the word nervous!

mine was 2 weeks ago...i know how you feel. I felt the same way...but after you do all your hellos to everyone the rest of the day will fly by. I was so upset bc i didnt eat...all my gifts wore torn open and i couldnt remember the day after wards! im so bummed. So now that you know its not a surprise go in there and try and relax! Enjoy it

Ok, so I need to settle down I guess. We're having mimosas so I'll have one before the guests come and hopefull it'll calm my nerves. It's the whole being in front of a ton of people thing that gets me so nervous! I even did my own little hair and makeup trial to make sure I knew how I wanted to look. Am I crazy? Maybe a little... Thanks for your words of encouragement!!!

It is completely normal to be nervous, I am freaking out already as well.
Once you walk in that door, you are going to enjoy every minute of it

Exactly... i just had mine last month...... i was so surprised which led me to feeling so overwhelmed at first. but enjoy yourself---it goes by sooooo quickly... i was so sad when it was over!

I know exactly how you feel!! I went through that right before my engagement party. We had 75 people, and even though they were mostly family and some close friends, I found the IDEA of it really overwhelming.
Neither FH or I like the spotlight.
But I have to say that it was such a great feeling being in a room surrounded by people who are there just to celebrate wtih you!
Relax ... have a drink or two before everyone starts to show up ... and remember that everyone in the room is there because they love you!
