Shower locations near train stations

Shower locations near train stations

A friend is trying to throw a bridal shower for another friend but most people are coming out to LI from the city and wants to make it in walking distance from a train station.

Any suggestions for bridal shower locations in close proximity to a train station? Preferably in Nassau.

Thanks!

I believe IL Toscano in Dougalston is right by a train station. I love that place! Their food is amazing and they have a private room upstairs that you can rent out for parties. If you do go there definitely get the Napoleon cake for dessert ::drool::

Try Floral Park - there are a few restaurants close to the train station - Jack Duggans, Fiore (both on Covert Avenue). And it's a short walk to Jericho Tpke where they have Stella's, Trinity, Crabtrees. I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Mineola has a ton of places close to the train station

Davenport Press
Eleanor Rigby's

Not sure what you are looking for....

Garden City has a bunch of places within walking distance as well.

I was going to suggest Il Toscano in Douglaston, as well. It is literally RIGHT off the train station, but it's a REALLY nice place, has plenty of room for parties and the food is GREAT.

There's also a few places in Bayside right there on Bell Blvd. Donovan's of Bayside is a really popular one.

Looking for something classy...not too 'pub' like. I had my shower at Table 9 in Roslyn but it wasn't good for girls that took the train out (my friends had to pack in cars from the city or arrange rides from station).

Definitely Floral Park - Jack Duggans (my rehearsal dinner was here)
Fiore
Jameson's

All are within walking distance to the LIRR.

Garden City - Seventh Street Cafe or the Garden City Hotel even Waterzooi or Novita would be close enough to walk

I'll keep thinking.

ETA: Duggans' and Jameson's might be too pub like, but they are pretty nice regardless. Duggans' has a private room upstairs which is really nice. Fireplace with exposed brick and very private.

The Inn at New Hyde Park uses one of their smaller rooms for showers and that sort of thing, and is pretty close to the NHP train station.

Anything in RVC is pretty much walking distance from the train. I cant think of specific names but the area is full of bars and restaurants.

This! I love Il Toscano, but it can get a little pricey, so if you book there, make sure to work out a cost effective menu!

This was what I was going to say - You have Blue Moon, Blackthorn's (though and Irish/Pub type place, really nice and more upscale), Grillfire, Churchills, RJ Daniel's (I was there this past weekend and they were having a shower), even Cabo could be really fun.

Lot's of things that are in walking distance.

And you did help! I was just clarifying what I'm looking for.

Thanks guys, I don't live on LI so these are all really helpful!

I don't know about Eleanor Rigby's but we had my SIL's bridal shower at Davenport Printing Press and that place is beautiful! They have a small room off to the side but the big room in the bad is gorgeous! The food is SO good! My mom found it for my MIL to host my SIL's and I was almost mad I couldn't have mine there. It's not 'pub' like AT ALL!

Also, there are some nice resturants in Rockville Center too. We had our rehearsal dinner at Chadwick's at the Station, literally across from the train tracks in RC.

ALSO, in Bellrose there is a place called Trattoria Lucia...it's amazing and they have a private room for parties.
