Does any one know that poem or have a cute saying about not wrapping gifts for the bridal shower. My mom has been looking for it and can't seem to find it.

some guests dont like that though, they want to see the brides reaction to their gift.

Yeah, I would think some of my guests would find that insulting.

Yeah, if I got that poem, I would ignore it anyway, and wrap away. Thats the best part !

I think its a personal choice. To each their own! I want my present wrapped....just because I like opening presents!

Re: Shower - No gift wrapping poem?
My FSIL mentioned this to me a few weeks ago. She termed it as a 'display' shower. I had honestly never heard of that before. I think most people enjoy seeing the bride to be open or unwrap her presents. Maybe you could find a middle ground by asking (somehow) to use gift bags and not traditional wrapping paper???

Re: Shower - No gift wrapping poem?
I think people tend to do it if they are having a really BIG shower and there just wouldn't be time to open all of the gifts....since mine will be relatively small, you better believe I want the presents wrapped!

Re: Shower - No gift wrapping poem?
lol sorry, didnt mean to get some of you upset :o( but at 30 years old, i feel like ive been to a million showers and after the first hour of present opening its like 'god is this ever going to end?' Of course when its your party you want to open the gifts!! It could be overwhelming for some people too though. I was my BF's MOH and i know she was totally overwhelmed opening her gifts that i ended up having to open them for her. Id rather spend the time talking to my guests and having cocktails!

dont know the full poem, but part of it is ' be a dear and wrap in clear'

even more reason why you should unwrap your gifts, you've spent so many hours at others showers watching them and now its your turn hahahahahaha
i do agree to each their own...didnt mean my comment as people shouldn't do it.
