What is the normal range for a good restaurant with a good amount of food? It seems after tax and gratuity most places are close to $50..seems steep

I had my shower at Lombardi's and I believe my mom paid almost 40$ a person (that's including tax and gratuity). And the food was amazing!! They were really great :) I would definitely recommend them.

What about doing a brunch at a restaurant/catering hall? Prices are reasonable and to get a lot of food.

My mom wants a sit down. I went to Villa Lombardis for pricing but they wanted to charge 35 dollars for each bottle of wine and you couldn't bring in your own cake (had to get it from them).

I priced out a a few restaurants. I think the average after tax and gratuity was between $40-$50 pp. This included beer and wine or sangria, bloodies, etc., if it was a brunch.

mym mom has been pricing around for brunch or lunches and has been trying to keep it to around 25-32pp because i have some 75 people on my guest list...probably will only have close to 50, but still, that's a lot of money pp with that many people

I've been calling around to A LOT of places recently. You can definitely get places cheaper.

Butera's has a nice menu and is reasonable - They were $22.00 per person in their smithtown location; all the other locations were around $26..

It takes a lot of calling around but there's places out there!

If you cut out the alcohol you can definitely find places in the $20-25++ range.

I have about 60-70 pp too so it just made more sense not to do it at a restaurant...My mom lives in a building with a a party room so she is going to have it catered and do it there. Saves a good chunk of change.
