Is it true that the groom is supposed to show up towards the end of the shower to say hello to everyone and to thank people for their gifts?
The woman that sits next to me told me about this, and I had no idea.... Scott

Usually. Or in the beginning of the shower, if you're bringing FW to her shower. My DH stayed the whole time (they stayed in a separate part of the restaurant) and it was really nice to be able to go check on him and leisurely introduce him to people.

So which do you recommend? Beginning or at the end of the shower? Danielle's dad is having something for the guys at Danielle's parents house....so while the women will be at the shower...the men will be at Danielle's....eating and drinking too....

the showers i have been too the groom usually shows up at the end
also the groom has dropped off the bride and said a quick hell (walked her in) and then came back and loaded teh car and said thank yous

Usually the groom shows up with the bride in the beginning, bc its usually him who scams a way or gets told how to scam the bride into thinking shes going somewhere else, and then gives her flowers or puts a corsage on her, and waves good bye, and then shows up at the end to take the gifts home.

She knows about the shower...At the beginning I will be helping her father set up for everything that will be going on at their house...so I guess I will be going at the end.

yes. . .that's what usually happens. I guess you woldn't know that, having not been to a shower. I never thought about that. I guess someone has to tell thr groom that.

My FH showed up at the end to say 'hello' and load up the car for me. I'm not sure if it's 'customary' or a tradition, but generally its a nice thing to do
