I agree. That is really wierd. I wouldn't do it. People will probably just think that people decided to by you other things.

that does seem weird. i don't think we think that much into it. And if they have seen your registry they will figure out that it was probably a gift for another occasion.

See, thats what I was thinking, but then FI was agreeing with them that he sees their point... I thought I was missing something, but I never analyzed stuff like that at a shower.

it seems a bit weird.. i wouldn't do it. why do people need to know what you've recieved already anyway?

I agree-- it's weird.

People get engagement gifts.. and people get shower gifts.. what are you supposed to do next-- bring everything to your wedding and put everything on display again??
