Shower Question

What does the bride's mom usually buy? My mom is paying for the whole shower so she told me that typically the mom will buy the nice lingerie? Is this right? I totally thought that she would have bought my dishes.

I am just getting so concerned. My shower is May 6 and not one item from my dishes has come off. So glad I didn't do China too because I don't think I would have gotten anything

Dont worry about things not being bought yet-most of my stuff went just before my shower.
Moms usually buy whatever really-I dont think there is a specific rule for it

I don't think there is a set rule either. From what I've seen in my family and with me so far between mom and grandparents all china and dishes are bought. That's just my family-----they think it's the most important thing because I should just cook all day (Italians!)

I think it depends on everyone's situation.... my shower was yesterday (yay!), and here's the breakdown I got....

Mom: shower and honeymoon cloths inc langerie

FMIL: 8 place settings of China and made centerpieces and bought the favors

Grandma: my bedding

Grandma: everyday dishes
