How involved was your mom in planning your shower or how involved usually is the mother of the bride?

My mom was very involved! her and my sister planned just about everything... if anything, it woudl have been nice if they had more help from my other BMs.
When i was a BM in another wedding, the bride's mom paid for the guests (they had it out) but all the BMs planned all the games, favors, etc.

my shower was yesterday, My mom pretty much did most of the planning and paying but she absolutely involved my bridesmaids and they chipped in too as well. But it was pretty much my mom's show. (at least thats the impression everyone is giving me)

my mom paid for the restaurant...my girls did the rest. FMIL wasn't involved at all...except for part of the guest list.

I have not had one yet, but when my sister got married my mom was very involved. She helped us pick the place and the menu and bought the favors. She didnt have to do anything but she wanted to help.
