shower question...
Re: shower question...
that stinks! i would probably have the shower in february if i were you. that is a lot of events to attend for family members so it would probably be better for your shower to be before their weddings so it does not affect you as much!
Re: shower question...
ITA....I would have my shower in February too
Re: shower question...
I would absolutely and definitely do my shower in February!
Re: shower question...
i wouldnt ask them, especially if they didnt ask you. and february is fine to do ur shower!
Re: shower question...
I think February would be fine.
Re: shower question...
i think feb is fine, fsil is getting married last week in april and her shower is january... i wouldnt bother asking them either, i would just tell them you booked your shower here's the date and please dont book so close for the sake of our guests
Re: shower question...
yeah, i definatley dont think Feb is too early, my shower is feb 21 and im getting married april 18. you could go as early as jan, imo
Re: shower question...
OY! I'm sorry that they did that! And not asking just makes it worse. I would say have your shower in February and make sure that the moms/bridal party (whoever is throwing it) communicate so they don't double book. While it's not cousins OR as close I got engaged first with my girlfriends (they are 2 of my bridesmaids). Then one of them got engaged in March. She asked me if it was ok if she could have her wedding in the spring 2010 (a couple months before mine). so she's having it in June 2010. No big deal and I couldn't be happier for her! THEN, my friend got engaged in May (she was engaged once before but it ended up getting broken off last October 2008). So she got engaged to someone else and without asking either one of us schedules her wedding in April 2010. Now, I'm happy for my friend as I'm sure you are happy for your cousins, BUT I know how you feel about not being asked. But the damage is done and if you mention it to them, the family will end up knowing and then who really wants that during this happy time! Have the bridal shower before theirs and try to enjoy everything! It's hard but honestly, there are more important things about your wedding to worry about, let your cousins worry about that fact that everyone is more excited about your wedding because it'll be GREAT weather and a GREAT time!
