For girls who already had their shower, did you get duplicate gifts? Or alot of gifts not from your registry?
I know my shower is coming up and we have about 30 confirmed attendees but maybe like 10 gifts bought off my registry. I am concerned my guests are either not marking the item off the registry when they buy it or they are just bringing other things. What do you ladies think???
Should I be concerned?

Nah, you can still return the dupes either way. Also, a lot of people buy gifts right before the party!

Don't worry, everyone procrastinates. People still bought stuff to send even after the shower. We didn't receive many gifts off of the registry- most of the ones that weren't on the registry were from my mom.

I got multiple duplicates and gifts from my registry that did not show up on my registry as purchased....so Im guessing a lot of guests dont scan the registry when the purchase gifts!

i didn't reallu get any duplicates...a lot of gifts will be purchased like the week of...i always wait until the last minute!

I only had one duplicate gift (of about 45 Shower gift givers). I returned it and got a gift card no problem

no worries, i got a couple of duplicate items but i just brought them back for store credit and got what i really needed

I wouldn't worry! I am famous for last minute gifts....I buy them on the way to the party and then wrap it in my car!!! You will see a bunch of stuff come off within days of the shower!!!

Everything I received was from our registries - I had a few duplicates...90% of the attendees shopped the day before the shower. People were surely in the store printing the registry at the same time, so the quantities weren't accurate with whatever they were looking at. Returns were no problem, though.
