Shower Question- Wardrobe Change?

My shower is a surprise and my family has gone to great lengths to throw me off, even having me leave my shower dress and shoes with them and then giving me a bunch of different dates with things we have to attend ( birthday parties, dinners, show tix, etc).

I always imagined walking into my shower IN my shower dress but my mom is telling me that in order for it to be a surprise, I'll have to walk into the room in whatever Im wearing and then change.

I dont want to change!!!! But I also dont want to ruin the surprise that they've worked SO HARD on.

For girls that already had their shower, did you change into your dress after ppl saw you wearing something different? And do you think its dumb to change?

I was totally surprised for mine and did change. My sis had my outfit with her. I almost didn't change b/c I was told i'd be going to a charity wine tasting even so I was dressed well enough to get away with it. I only did b/c I figured when else was I gonna wear it ...LOL Some guests did ask why I did and I had to explain.

You never know what lie they may tell you to get out of the house so you need to be prepared!

i was sure i knew the date of my shower, and that i was going to my dad's surprise 50th (they had a fake invite made up, FH was going to be in NY to attend, and we were even LATE for set up ) but i was totally surprised! i walked in in my dress.... i didnt even have a shower dress picked out and my family pretended i wasnt having one

my dad did have a 50th a few weeks later.

I changed right after I walked in. I thought I had a pretty cute outfit on but I had NO idea. I had given them my dress. I didn't even care that I had to change. I think people expect it.
