shower question....for those who are being surprised

OK....so I have NOOOOO idea about my shower...when/where/who/NOTHING! Anyways...so here is my question. I keep getting more and more nervous about someone 'letting the cat out of the bag'. Like my grandma, FH's aunts, my little cousins. It's like I'm FREAKING out that someone might slip. Did this/is this happening to anyone else? Or am I just a freak?

no the same thing happens to me all the time. My mom almost slipped to me last week! And I have a friend with a HUGE mouth who keeps slipping me hints....that I don't want! It's definitely not just you

yup!!!!!!! my shower is probobly sometime in the next few weeks ( my wedding is 2 months away so i got it narrowed down lol) but i do not know what day it is....i am getting worried someone will slip......i need weekends to get stuff done and i am worried to ask anyone to do anything cause if they have a lame excuse or something i dont want it to be a give away. I am also a littl eworried about talking to a certain BM cause she has a big mouth lol ....hopefully noone will

I wasn't but now I am starting to. I figured I had awhile yet since my wedding isn't until August, but I know they have been looking for places. My Dad almost slipped and told me where they were looking to have it when I called looking for my mom & sis (MOH) a few weeks back..they were out and when I asked where...you can just imagine. Then yesterday I was explaining all the foul ups with Fortunoff's registry to my brothers new GF and he is like well in case you want to switch it your shower is on July 23 at Villa Lombardis. I thought I was going to have a stroke. I actually ran to a calendar and began to relax when I saw that the 23rd was a Wednesday. I really freaked on him about how important it was for me that I be surprised! So to make an already long post longer..yeah I'm definitely starting to worry that someone especially the men in the family might slip up.

Hey Andrea I know exactly what you mean. I made a very similar post last week about the same thing.

One of my co-workers at my part-time job was about to slip when I was talking to her the other day. She was telling me that everyone is trying to get the day off but at least 2 people have to work...then she said she didn't think it would be a problem on a SUNDAY! LOL I was like oh....on a Sunday!?!?!?!? She caught herself and shut up right there! LOL

I am so paranoid...my sis is the worst at keeping secrets and I can tell she would rather just let me know when it is lol...everytime I think she's going to talk about it I run lol...I think its coming soon though b/c she keeps asking for me to buy the dress and give it to her

People are already starting to slip. One of my BM's accidentally asked me if I was going to the meeting to discuss the details of my shower. BUT she worded it as 'So I'll see you tomorrow' LOL BUT that's all I know. I figure I'm getting married in July, so my shower will probably be sometime in May.

But I've explicitly told them to keep their traps shut!

i dont know anything either but im not sweating it. if someone slips, then so be it, im sure it will be an accident. im just happy to be getting one!

I def know what you mean...my family went over to my aunts last weekend and before we went i told my mother to remind my cousins, aunt and especially my grandmother to not say anything and to hide the invite if it is around b/c it could just be an oversight...I want it to be a surprise for as long as it can be...if i figure it out on the way, so be it...but as for now, I remain clueless and i like it
