Shower RSVPs finally starting...

And as expected, my father's family thumbed their nose at me big time. Bah.

My mom is starting to panic because we only have about 15 people that are coming so far, and we need to meet a 40 person minimum, which frankly, just won't happen.

For those who were involved in planning your showers, did the guests wait to the last minute to rsvp? My mom put a date of 7/1 on and a ton of FH's extended family did not call yet, as well as my friends.

I wasnt involved but I heard after that alot of people either waited tilll the last minute or didnt RSVP at all!

We only invited 19 to my luncheon and I sent the invites out last week. So far we have 6 Yes and 3 No. I asked them to respond by 6/15 (it's on 6/27).

Of course, two of the non-responders are also people who haven't RSVP'd to our WEDDING and the rsvp date for that was last Friday. Mini-grrr

I have been involved in the throwing of 4 showers and I was always stuck being the 'RSVP' point person.

Most people (especially family) seemed to wait till the last minute to respond. I think it's a matter of 'well of course they know WE wouldn't miss it'

Don't stress about it yet. There's plenty of time.

I think you still have plenty of time...there's still about 3 weeks...when you get to a week before the RSVP date then I would start to wonder if ur still missing alot of responses....some people see an RSVP date and think thats the day they have to reply! It's annoying, hang in there hun
