I'm having trouble coming up with a sentence for the thank you cards for the people who sent gifts but did not attend. For some reason 'I'm sorry you were unable to make it' is stuck in my head, but I'm not happy with it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What about I am very sorry you were unable to attend the shower but I am glad you will be able to celebrate with us on our wedding day - well NOT those exact words but there is just an idea
