shower thank you question

so here is a stupid question - when you send out thank you's are you supposed to mention the gift they got you?

and your
thoughtfulness, too.

Yes, an acknowledgement of the specific gift is traditionally expected..

'Thank you so much for the battery-operated singing Elvis coin sorter. FH and I will think of you every time we make a deposti.'

Unless it was a cash gift in which case you should mention their 'generous gift' and what you're going to use it for (or used it on as the case may be.)

and thank you - that is a pic of my boy Casey

I mentioned the gift and then did something cute of funny to show how we will use it!

It took me forever to do my thank you's! but I am having ladies from my shower thank me for my thank you and how I personalized and they just loved my thank you note! I was shocked...

thank you ladies! seems I have lots of work ahead of me!
