Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
At most showers I've been to, thats pretty much exactly the order. Eat, play games, open gifts, eat cake.

Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
For a 3 hour shower that she will only be there for two and a half hours.................I'd actually nix the games and have her socialize for the first half hour she is there. Then let her eat for about 15 to 20 mins...then gifts and cake, let her do the cake in between gifts, then let her finish gifts.
2.5 hours...IMHO...is a tough schedule for the bride. Depending on the amount of guests...she may not have enough time to talk to all her guests and do games and gifts, eat and cake. I'd personally get rid of the games so she can have time to thank everyone for coming.

Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
Hello.... My shower was last weekend and it was from 12-3.....I got there @ 12:30.....I felt it wasn't enough time IMO....I was not able to socialize with everyone.....I was there for about 20 minutes and I started opening gifts bc there were soooo many..... Then I ate, and they did Bingo while I opened my gifts.....Then we had cake after I was done with my gifts and then it was over....But I had sooooo much fun and my friends and family were sooooo generous!!! HTH!!!

Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
is the shower happening at a person's home or at a restaurant? if it's at a restuarant, the folks there will probably be able to tell you whenthe food will be ready, and you can take it from there.

Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
THat's tough, that's a really short amount of time to get games into. I'd forget the games. I know that at FSIL and my best friend's showers last year, it took them both about 1.5 hours to do the gifts, and that's underestimating the time. If you factor in a half hour because of a delayed arrival, you now only have 1 hour left. That's eating time and maybe some cake. I'd definitely forget the games.

Re: SHOWER TIMELINE
For mine, when I showed up, I walked around & talked with people, then opened some gifts & played games, then ate, then opened the rest of the gifts & played a few more games, then had cake. My shower was 4 hours, I got there about a half hour into it.
